Journal of Computational Astronomy & Astronomical Computing (JCAAC)
PEOPLE AT JCAAC
We are a group of amateur astronomers and scientific and technical staff from universities and
research centres with an interest in astronomy and computing. Some of us belong to the Grupo
de Cálculo Astronómico, which originated within the framework of the Federación de
Asociaciones Astronómicas de España, and is dedicated to astronomical calculation and the
generation of codes and applications with astronomical interest in the context of amateur astronomy.
Others are professionals of science with varying degrees of dedication to astronomy.
If you are
an amateur or professional astronomer, belong to any of the organisations associated with FAAE
or SEA, or to an astronomical organisation over the world,
and wish to collaborate on this project, please write to us at
contacto.jcaac at federacionastronomica.es
The Journal of Computational Astronomy & Astronomical Computing is an effort by the FAAE - Grupo de Cálculo Astronómico (GCA) to
encourage the use of software tools and the development of codes and algorithms for astronomical applications within the framework of
amateur astronomy, as well as to connect the amateur community with the professional astronomy community and promote cross-collaboration and
ProAm projects between both groups.
