HOW TO SUBMIT

The Journal of Computational Astronomy & Astronomical Computing welcomes submission of high-quality papers that align with the journal's scope. Manuscripts, whether reviews or research articles, must adhere to the following guidelines:

Manuscripts must be prepared using one of the two available templates provided by The Journal of Computational Astronomy & Astronomical Computing (JCAAC):

Submissions should be emailed to submissions.jcaac at federacionastronomica.es as a tar or zip file containing all necessary files to compile the manuscript. Alternatively, Overleaf users may share their project with the editors instead of submitting via email.

The submission must be accompanied by a brief cover letter outlining the motivation behind the work, including the key ideas that led to its development and why it was submitted to JCAAC. Please also suggest a potential section for the manuscript.

All submitted manuscripts will undergo peer review by one or more qualified referees from the JCAAC Editorial & Advisory Boards. The referees will provide feedback, after which the manuscript will either be accepted or returned to the authors for revisions. Manuscripts deemed unsuitable for the journal will be rejected.

The Journal of Computational Astronomy & Astronomical Computing is an effort by the FAAE - Grupo de Cálculo Astronómico (GCA) to encourage the use of software tools and the development of codes and algorithms for astronomical applications within the framework of amateur astronomy, as well as to connect the amateur community with the professional astronomy community and promote cross-collaboration and ProAm projects between both groups.
