The occultations of these stars are meant to be observed using high sampling rates (<10 ms) and with R or I filters. Large apertures will help.
If the SNR ratio is good, diffraction fringes will result in the light curve. You may contribute to the analysis of these diffraction patterns
from which some interesting information can be extracted (e.g. the lunar limb slope and precise astrometry).
